Second Hand Rose is a well-written horror story. Abigail left her hometown of Friendship when she was 22. At 32, she returns with her dog, Jake, to take over her deceased grandmother’s antique business and home.
What begins as Abagsil’s story evolves into the history of the town of Friendship. I was blindsided when the town revealed itself.
Nothing is what it seems. People have been disappearing from Friendship for a long time. It’s not for everyone. This one crept up on me.
